 Craft the Night is a mobile paint and craft party company serving Durham Region, Toronto, and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring fun, creative experiences directly to homes, offices, restaurants, breweries, wineries, community centres, churches, schools, retirement homes, and other venues of your choice.

In addition to private events, we also host public ticketed paint nights at local restaurants and venues, making it easy to enjoy a creative night out with friends, family, or coworkers.

 We offer both private paint and craft parties, as well as public ticketed paint nights.

Our private events are completely mobile, meaning we bring the experience to your home, workplace, restaurant, community centre, church, retirement home, school, or another venue of your choice. We also host public paint nights at local restaurants and venues where individuals, couples, friends, and families can purchase tickets and join the fun.

 Our painting and crafting experiences can be customized for almost any occasion, including:

Our events are designed for complete beginners as well as experienced painters. Our instructors guide everyone step by step, making the experience fun, relaxed, and easy to follow.

Whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush or paint regularly, you’ll leave with a finished painting you’ll be proud of.

You’re not alone - we hear this at almost every event!

The good news is that you don’t need to be artistic to enjoy one of our painting parties. We break every painting down into simple, manageable steps and provide plenty of encouragement and one-on-one assistance along the way.

Most people are pleasantly surprised by what they’re able to create.

We proudly serve Durham Region, Toronto, and the Greater Toronto Area, including Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, Oshawa, Courtice, Bowmanville, Newcastle, Brooklin, Port Perry, Uxbridge, Clarington, Scarborough, North York, East York, Toronto, Markham, Stouffville, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Thornhill, Aurora, Newmarket, Mississauga, Brampton, Milton, Oakville, Burlington, and many surrounding communities.


There is no travel fee for events throughout Durham Region and many nearby communities.


For some locations, a travel fee may apply depending on your location and the size of your group. We’ll always let you know upfront - no surprises.

Public Ticketed Paint Nights

Public ticketed paint nights are $45 per person + applicable ticketing fees.

Our public events are hosted through a Paint Nite ticketing platform. Please refer to the terms and conditions provided during checkout for complete ticket information.


Private Acrylic Paint Parties

  • $350 + HST for up to 10 participants
  • $35 + HST for each additional participant

This includes approximately 2 hours of step-by-step instruction starting from a blank canvas.


Paint Your Pet Parties

  • $500 + HST for up to 10 participants
  • $50 + HST for each additional participant

Each participant receives a custom pre-sketched canvas featuring their own pet (or another animal of their choice) based on a reference photo provided before the event. These events are typically slightly longer than our standard paint parties.


For schools, fundraisers, very large groups, or custom events, we’re happy to prepare a personalized quote tailored to your needs.

There is no minimum number of participants.


Our minimum booking rate covers up to 10 participants, whether your group has one guest or ten.


There is no maximum group size. We’ve successfully hosted events with more than 80 participants and can comfortably accommodate even larger groups by providing additional instructors or assistants as needed.

Our painting parties include everything needed for a fun and successful event, including:

  • Professional instructor
  • Canvas for every participant
  • Easels
  • Paint
  • Brushes
  • Aprons
  • Water cups
  • Paper towels
  • Table covers (when required)
  • Step-by-step instruction throughout the event

Each guest takes home their completed artwork at the end of the event. All other supplies remain with our instructor.

Most painting parties last approximately 2 hours.


In reality, every group paints at a different pace. Some groups naturally finish in about an hour and a half, while others enjoy taking their time and may finish closer to two and a half hours. We never rush anyone—we want you to enjoy the experience.


Paint Your Pet events typically last between two and a half and three hours due to the additional detail involved.


Children’s painting parties can also be customized into shorter one-hour experiences with smaller canvases to better suit younger attention spans. We’d be happy to prepare a custom quote.

Everyone paints the same design together while our instructor guides the group step by step.


We have a gallery of over 100+ paintings to choose from, with designs for every season, holiday, and style. If you have a specific theme in mind, we’re always happy to discuss a custom painting.

Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, hosting a corporate event, planning a fundraiser, or simply have a unique idea in mind, we’d be happy to create a custom painting designed specifically for your event.

Absolutely!


Backyard paint parties are a wonderful option during the warmer months.

Outdoor events do require suitable weather, and wind can sometimes affect the painting experience. For that reason, we ask that clients provide an indoor backup location in case weather conditions aren’t suitable on the day of the event.

Acrylic paint washes easily off hands with soap and water while it’s still wet. However, once dry, it may permanently stain clothing and some fabrics.


We provide aprons for all participants, but we still recommend wearing clothing you don’t mind getting a little paint on - just in case.

We regularly partner with restaurants, breweries, wineries, cafés, and other venues throughout Durham Region, Toronto, and the GTA to host public paint nights.


These events are open to everyone, making them a great option for date nights, girls’ nights, family outings, or simply trying something new.

Absolutely!


All of our restaurant partners offer food and drinks that are available for purchase during the event.


If you’re planning to enjoy a full meal that requires a plate, knife, and fork, we recommend arriving approximately 30 to 60 minutes before the event begins or staying afterward to enjoy your meal. Once painting starts, your table will be filled with canvases, paint, brushes, water cups, and other supplies, leaving limited space for larger meals.


Finger foods, appetizers, desserts, snacks, and beverages are perfect during the event and are encouraged if you’d like to enjoy a bite while you paint.

Please note that food and drinks are not included with your ticket and must be purchased separately from the restaurant.

It depends on the specific event.


Some of our public paint nights are family-friendly, while others are designed for older teens and adults. Please refer to the event description before purchasing tickets, as it will indicate whether the event is suitable for children.


For private events, you’re welcome to invite guests of any age if the event is appropriate for your group.

We’re a mobile business, which means we bring the painting party to you.


Most of our clients host their events at homes, offices, churches, community centres, rental halls, retirement homes, schools, or other private venues.


If you’d like to host your event at a restaurant, we’re happy to recommend one of our restaurant partners or even approach a restaurant of your choice on your behalf to see if they’re able to accommodate your event.

For private parties, you’ll simply need to provide:

  • Tables and chairs for all participants
  • Enough space for everyone to paint comfortably
  • Access to a sink with running water


If you’re planning to host your event at a restaurant and need help arranging a venue, we’d be happy to assist.


We’ll take care of everything else.

 If you’re hosting your event at your home or another private venue, you’re welcome to provide whatever food and drinks you’d like.


If you’re planning to host your private painting party at a restaurant, we generally recommend planning your meal either before or after the painting session. 


Most restaurant partners require groups to dine as part of the reservation, and we’re happy to help coordinate those arrangements if needed.

We’ve successfully hosted events with more than 80 participants and can comfortably accommodate even larger groups.


For larger events, we provide additional instructors or assistants as needed to ensure everyone receives the support and attention they need throughout the experience.

We’re also happy to prepare custom quotes for schools, fundraisers, festivals, corporate events, and other large-scale gatherings.

We’ll confirm availability, answer any questions, and prepare your booking.


To secure your date, we’ll require your completed booking information along with a $50 deposit. Your booking is confirmed once both have been received, and your deposit will be deducted from your final balance.

 We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends and during the holiday season, as those dates tend to fill up quickly.


That said, if we still have availability, we’re always happy to accommodate last-minute bookings whenever possible.

Our preferred method of payment is e-Transfer for private parties.


We also accept credit card payments through PayPal, and an invoice is always provided for your records.


Cash payments may occasionally be accepted by prior arrangement, but e-Transfer and credit card are our standard payment methods for private parties.


For public ticketed events, all tickets must be purchased online in advance.

Deposits are fully refundable for cancellations made more than 1 month before your scheduled event.


Within one month of the event, deposits become non-refundable. One reschedule may be available, subject to availability.
